EQAO for Grades 3 and 6 students
May 4, 2012 - EQAO practice sessions will be held Tuesday, May 8 for our students. The formal administration will be from May 28 to June 1. We would kindly ask that, if at all possible, scheduled appointments not be made during that time for our students in Grade 3 and 6 as it would be most important for your child to be at school. The assessment includes varied activities in Reading, Writing and Math. There will only be a slight change in the regular schedules for those classes involved. Click here for letter to parents.

Congratulations Robert Bateman PS for making a difference!
Jan 26, 2012 - Our school received a very special award from the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The Survivorship award is one of the highest honours at the Cancer Foundation-only two were given out this year. Robert Bateman PS was recognized for organizing the 2K Walk fundraiser for the past eleven years. Over that time the school has raised over $132,000! A big thank you to Mr. Fackelmann who has spearheaded this event every year with the help of the entire Robert Bateman PS staff, parent volunteers, the student population and the community. Visitors to the Regional Cancer Foundation's new Maplesoft Centre headquarters on Alta Vista Drive are able to enjoy the Tree of Hope, a painting done a few years ago by Robert Bateman PS students under the direction of Mme Doucette. According to officials with the Cancer Foundation, the painting "brightens up the space and gives a sense of hope and community to every person who comes into the Centre".
